The Sioux Falls Sports Authority and Sanford Health Foundation are excited to announce the 2024 Sioux Falls Marathon raised a record-breaking $27,250 for Sanford Children’s Miracle Network. This marks the highest single-year donation in the event’s history. 

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has announced its selection of host cities for 2027 and 2028 Division I and Division II Championships, with Sioux Falls being awarded the 2028 Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Regional.

The Sioux Falls Sports Authority announced today that Sioux Falls has been selected to host the 2025 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Men’s and Women’s Curling, and the U.S. Paralympic Team Trials for Wheelchair Mixed Doubles Curling at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center November 7-16, 2025.

The annual Sioux Falls Marathon returns to the streets and recreation trail this Sunday, August 27, 2023, with a full marathon, half marathon, and 5K. For the safety of those participating, the Sioux Falls Sports Authority, organizers of the Sioux Falls Marathon, have announced the following street closures:

Registration for the 2023 Sioux Falls Marathon is now open. The Sioux Falls Sports Authority is excited to welcome runners back to Sioux Falls on Sunday, August 27, 2023, for the full marathon, half marathon, and 5K.

The Sioux Falls Sports Authority will host the first South Dakota Athletic Commission-sanctioned professional boxing card to take place in Sioux Falls this December at The District.

Sanford Children’s Hospital, the region’s only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, joined Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in 1986, making it the exclusive Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in eastern South Dakota, southwest Minnesota, northwest Iowa and Northern Nebraska. 100% of funds raised here stay here to help kids in the region.
