2024 Sioux Falls Marathon Raises $27,250 for Sanford Children’s Miracle Network 

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Sioux Falls Sports Authority and Sanford Health Foundation are excited to announce the 2024 Sioux Falls Marathon raised a record-breaking $27,250 for Sanford Children’s Miracle Network. This marks the highest single-year donation in the event’s history. 

Runners from across the United States participated in the event on August 25, which featured a half marathon and the Miracle 5K.  

“We look forward each year to donating proceeds from the marathon to the Children’s Miracle Network,” said Thomas Lee, Executive Director of the Sioux Falls Sports Authority. “Over the years, we have met amazing families supported by CMN, and hosting an event that gives back to our community is important to our organization. The Sanford Health Foundation does a terrific job helping families in our community and we greatly appreciate all they do.” 

“We are truly honored to partner with the Sioux Falls Sports Authority again this year and the efforts of the Sioux Falls Marathon event,” said Ashton Siebrecht, Sanford Health Foundation Development Officer. “Sioux Falls is so fortunate to not only have this elite event, but to have an event that benefits Sioux Falls and so many surrounding communities year over year! It is truly inspiring, and we are thrilled to put 100% of every dollar to work benefitting children and their families during their most vulnerable times. We are so grateful for this partnership!” 

The Sioux Falls Marathon will return in the fall of 2025 with a full marathon, half marathon, and the Miracle 5K.
